Fluid Tiny Apartment

A Modern Living Space with Fluid Design

Inspired by the graceful lines of a whale, the Fluid Tiny Apartment by Katerina Kavazi is a stunning example of how innovative design can transform a small space into a luxurious and functional living area.

With the concept of fluidity at its core, the Fluid Tiny Apartment utilizes fluid lines in the ceilings, walls, and furniture to create a sense of movement and spaciousness. By seamlessly connecting all elements together and incorporating hidden lighting that follows the curves, the size of this apartment becomes irrelevant.

The materials used in the realization of this design are MDF white gloss for the furniture and DuPont Corian solid surface for the organic forms. The floor is adorned with ceramic tiles in a concrete color and texture, adding to the modern aesthetic. The hidden lights, which contribute to the overall ambiance, are LED stripes in warm white.

Despite its small size, the living room of the Fluid Tiny Apartment spans 35 square meters. The open plan space features a kitchen, a sitting area with a TV, and a fireplace, creating a cozy and functional environment.

Designed by Katerina Kavazi and Marinos Zachariou, this project was completed between January 2013 and May 2013 in Nicosia, Cyprus. The design team faced the challenge of maximizing the potential of the limited space while meeting the client's requirements. Through careful planning and creative solutions, they were able to deliver an apartment that perfectly suited the client's profile.

The Fluid Tiny Apartment was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2014 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award recognizes designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The Fluid Tiny Apartment stands out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.

With its unique and fluid design, the Fluid Tiny Apartment showcases how creativity and innovation can transform even the smallest spaces into stylish and functional living areas. This design is a testament to the power of thoughtful design and attention to detail in creating a luxurious lifestyle.
